Product details
The quieter of aFe's two Takeda axle-backs for the pre-facelift PD i30 1.6T (AU i30 SR and pre-facelift N Line; US 2018-20 Elantra GT Sport / N Line).
- Construction: 2.5in mandrel-bent 409 stainless tubing with a high-flow 409 stainless muffler, fully MIG-welded.
- Sound: aFe rates it only slightly louder than stock. If you want noise, the 3in muffler-delete Takeda is the one.
- Tips: dual 4.5in clamp-on tips in black, polished, blue flame or carbon fibre.
- Install: factory flange and hangers, no cutting.
aFe publishes no power figure for this one, and on a stock 1.6T there is little to find behind the axle. Buy it for a tidier tone and stainless durability. 409 will surface-rust over time where 304 stays bright. Not for the AD Elantra sedan or the i30 N, and aFe does not list the 2021+ facelift.
