Product details

Fidanza's HY5 aluminium flywheel for the 2.7 V6 Tiburon (GK). It replaces the factory dual-mass flywheel with a single-mass billet aluminium unit of about 9.5lb, with a hardened steel ring gear and a bolt-on, replaceable steel friction face.

  • Fits V6 cars built after the early-2003 change - 5-speeds built after March 2003, 6-speeds built after January 2003. Fidanza lists it to 2007; Tiburon specialists fit it to 2008
  • Earlier 2003 builds take the HY3 flywheel instead, so check the build date on the door jamb or compliance plate
  • The friction face is replaced at clutch time instead of resurfacing the flywheel

Expect quicker revs and easier rev-matching, plus more gear rattle and clutch chatter than the dual-mass original. It adds no power. Not for the 2.0 Tiburon.
